After surfing and more surfing for quite some time.. Here are my rewards! *Tears of joy*

I will post the Windows Themes and others next time after I arrange them.

Download: Click the newest version
Requirement: Windows 2000/XP/Vista, .NET Framework 2.0 or above
Information:
Double click the Apricot.exe to open. Right click the mascot to change the characters.

Enma Ai 3D Desktop Mascot

Character(s): Enma Ai

Information:
Esc – Close Program
T – Turn white
G – Show structure
F / Q – Stop movement

Hatsune Miku 3D Singing Desktop Mascot

Character(s): Hatsune Miku
Download: || Mirror:
Requirement: Win2000／XP／Vista, Pentium 3 (600MHz) and 256MB RAM or above
Information:
Extract all files into the same folder and double click Start. The one on the left can sing while the right one can’t.

Small tips:

i.) By change your computer language into Japanese, the font which mascot speaks would look much nicer. To do:
1. Go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Option
2. Click the Advanced tabs.
3. Change the Language for non-Unicode Programs into Japanese.
4. Click OK and restart your computer.

ii.) To prevent the mascot from lagging, use better 3D support graphic.

There shouldn’t be any error. Sometimes, it shows error because you computer’s locale is not Japanese. Change it to Japanese in the control panel.

—FOR WIN XP—
STEP 1.) Open the Control and double-click on the “Regional and Language Settings” icon.
STEP 2.) Here are your current Regional settings. Click on the “Languages” tab.
STEP 3.) Make sure the check box labeled “Install files for East Asian Languages” is selected. If it is not selected, then check it now.
STEP 4.) Click on the “Advanced” tab.
STEP 5.) From the drop-down menu under “Language for non-Unicode programs”, select “Japanese”
STEP 6.) Select APPLY and then OK to save the changes. A restart will be necessary, save all work and select YES to restart your system.

—FOR WIN 2K—
STEP 1.) Go to the Control Panel of Windows and select “Regional Options”, double click it to open it.
STEP 2.) At the “General” tab, go to the “Language settings for the system” section and scroll down to select “Japanese”.
STEP 3.) Click on “Apply”, to apply the settings. DO NOT CLOSE THE WINDOW AND DO NOT REBOOT YET. The system will ask you for the Windows 2000 installation disk if the files are not already installed.
STEP 4.) Now click on “Set default…”
NOTE: The “Japanese” option will not appear here if you have not yet apply the changes from Step 2 to 3!
STEP 5.) At the “Select System Locale” dialog box drop down, select “Japanese” as the appropriate locale.
STEP 6.) Click OK to close this box, Click OK to save the Region settings and NOW, REBOOT THE SYSTEM.

Also, try setting your location and stuff to Japan too, some Japanese games actually want Windows to tell them you live are currently located in Japan. So basically set every possible setting to `Japan` or `Japanese` also the currency settings just to be sure. NOTE: It`ll change your forwardslash to a yen sign.

How do you get the 3D Miku to sing? I know that the left can, but when I choose the left one it’s doesn’t have any sound. Miku’s mouth just moves randomly.

What did you use to get better 3D graphic support? When I upload (even with the langauage change) she doesn’t sing and the background is black.

To get a better 3D graphic support, you’ll need a better graphic card. You have to buy it in the computer shop and ask them to install it for you.

I’m not sure how much these mascots need to operate smoothly. I’m only using AMT Radeon 9600 (256MB of graphic) and it works fine for me.

And oh, just some correction. The term ‘upload’ means sending files to the internet from your computer. The word to define the meaning of saving files from the internet to your computer should be ‘download’.

I found out how to get Miku singing, the music file is zipped up. Pull out the folder and place it in the same place where the rest of the files are, then start her up and bam, she sings!

  And for the others that can’t have the mascots working, I have no problems executing them and I have no idea why it doesn’t work on yours. Some of the mascot are old and may not support Vista (I think?).

Hmm, I can’t seem too get the singing to work. Any ideas on how to get it working? I have vista and a decent enough graphics card.

Also do I have to do the Japanese font setting or whatever to make it work? Although I don’t know what it does.

hey i dunno if anyone has checked the recent updates of the website: http://qruqru.sakura.ne.jp/ (this is where 3D Miku’s from BTW) but i was wondering if any of you guys could figure out how to get the downloads and the password as well. There are some great 3D mascots in that site and I was hoping to get some…can anyone help, please? Thanks in advance!
